Poppies are a straight-up dope flower. These ones exist on my walk to work, and they are as big as my hand, or a baby’s head, or a saucer - whichever analogy works for you, is how big they are. The green pods are fuzzy and the size of golfballs.
In the flower store where I work, we do not sell poppies. They do not work as cut stems, and are best appreciated when still connected to the ground. But we do sell poppy pods, both green ones and dried ones. They are decorative. But the people that most often want to decorate with them are hippies and junkies in their early twenties. They always buy $60 worth, and they always insist they are making a wreath.
